As a Human Resources Manager you will:
- Collaborate with the Managing Partner and CFO/COO to understand and execute the firm’s HR and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support and guidance to the HR department, PICs, and other staff members when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of misconduct, and terminations.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the firm attracts and retains top talent.
- Administer or oversee the administration of HR programs including, but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity and morale, and occupational health and safety.
- Administer employee benefits program. Prepare for pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports for insurance brokers. Manage contracts with various providers. Promote awareness and communicate information to employees regarding the various benefit programs available. Troubleshoot and act as the main point of contact for employees with benefit questions.
- Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support the Firm’s HR compliance and strategy needs.
- Conduct record audits and mandatory reports, including I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, Affirmative Action Plan, and other compliance reviews.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Support functions of payroll administration including review of payroll output, distribution of paychecks/vouchers, maintenance of benefit records and personnel files, and preparation of payroll/audit reports and HR reports.
- Support employment functions such as conducting interviews, administering background checks, EAP, making job offers, conducting stay and exit interviews, and participate in recruiting and networking activities.
- Measure and manage HR key performance indicators.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Human Resources Management emphasis
- 8 years of progressive HR experience
- 5 years of leadership and management experience
- HRCI and/or SHRM certification preferred
- Proficiency with computers, preferred experience with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Intranet and Internet based software products.
- Experience in public accounting perferred.
- A willingness to travel to offices, career fairs, and other events as necessary is required, which does include some out-of-town and overnight travel, estimated at one to two overnights per month.
