Hawkins Ash CPAs is happy to announce our three newest CPAs! Amanda La Plante, Briana Peters, and Sabrina Steger, MBA, recently achieved their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the State of Wisconsin Department of Regulations & Licensing. To qualify, they had to pass a rigorous, four-part written exam, have a four-year college degree with 150 credits, and demonstrate more than a year of experience in public accounting.
Amanda La Plante joined Hawkins Ash CPAs in 2014 as an intern, and was hired full-time following graduation from UW-Green Bay that year. As a tax associate, she prepares taxes for businesses, individuals, estates, bankruptcies, and nonprofits. She performs audits of employee benefit plans and trains new staff and interns. She is a member of the employee benefit plan service group.
Briana Peters joined Hawkins Ash CPAs in 2013. As an in-charge accountant, she focuses on nonprofit organizations. She is involved in all parts of the audit process including financial statement preparation. She also assists with audits of employee benefit plans, reviews and compilations of nonprofits and small businesses. Briana is a member of the firm’s nonprofit service group as well as the employee benefit plan service group. Peters is a graduate of UW-Green Bay.
Sabrina Steger joined Hawkins Ash CPAs in 2010. As a senior associate, she provides auditing services to several educational agencies, nonprofit organizations, housing authorities, and municipalities. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Viterbo University.
