Medford, Wis. – Jake Stange, an associate in the Medford office of Hawkins Ash CPAs, recently achieved his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
The CPA designation is granted by the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. To qualify, he had to pass a rigorous, four-part written exam, have a four-year college degree and demonstrate at least a year of experience in public or private accounting.
Jake joined the Medford, WI, office of Hawkins Ash CPAs as an intern during the busy season in 2020 and 2021. He was hired as a full-time employee following his college graduation. As an Associate with the Firm, Jake focuses on preparing individual and corporate tax returns. He also performs audit services for 401(k) plans and school choice programs.
Stange remarked, “I like working at Hawkins Ash because of the wide variety of clients and engagements that I get to work on. I also enjoy the flexibility the firm allows with work schedules. This gives me the opportunity to do more activities outside of work.”
In addition to becoming a CPA, Jake earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from UW-Eau Claire. In the Medford area community, Jake is a member of the Athens Area Trails Association and the Athens Touchdown Club
