On September 28, Congress, with bipartisan support, passed a bill that would delay the implementation of the new overtime regulations. The Regulatory Relief for Small Businesses, Schools, and Nonprofits Act, which now goes to the Senate sets June 1, 2017 as the new effective date. Until this bill is approved by the Senate and signed by the President, December 1 remains the implementation date for the overtime regulations. We’ll keep you informed as the bill progresses.
